Abstract
This document contains a strategy to curb distracted driving put forward by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It includes a high level overview of various components of a broader strategy, including public relations campaigns, policy initiatives, driver education, enforcement, as well as research into the distracted driving problem. It also details key results from national surveys demonstrating the scope and concern of the problem among the driving public, such as support for stricter laws as well as self-reported distracted driving behaviors.
