Abstract
This research note summaries the results of te Target Zero Teams Project (TZTP) in Washington state. TZTP was part of the statewide goal to reduce traffic fatalities to zero by the year 2030. The program included increased road safety enforcement. It also trained officers about data-driven countermeasures. The results from this analysis present statewide enforcement and fatality information from Washington state. The results revealed that, overall, there was a 34.4% reduction in alcohol- and drug-impaired driving fatalities.
