Abstract
This factsheet contains early estimates for motor vehicle fatalities in the United States for 2017. Overall, the analysis showed an 0.8% decline in fatalities from previous years. However, the authors noted it was too soon to speculate on the causes of this decline, instead indicating data collection must continue in order to identify emerging trends.
