Abstract
This report summarizes current research on graduated driver licensing (GDL) published in the Journal of Safety Research from 2010 to 2012. The purpose of this report was to share current knowledge with researchers and policymakers about GDL. It also identified information gaps where clarification or additional research was needed. The research reviewed in this document showed GDL programs had a positive impact of road safety. It further noted there were still important areas of research warranting study.
