Abstract
This factsheet contains a summary of the information presented in the ADTSEA Curriculum version 2.0 and the AAMVA Model Driver Manual. It specifically covers the topic of impaired driving, examining the effects of alcohol on driving ability, as well as other impairing drugs. It also describes the effects of alcohol on reaction time, judgment, and describes strategies to for young people to discourage friends from driving after drinking. The factsheet also outlines general legal penalties for those choose to drink and drive, and discusses license suspension, fines, and other penalties.
