Abstract
This factsheet summarizes information presented in the ADTSEA Curriculum version 2.0 and the AAMVA Model Driver Manual. It describes risk management strategies and various sources of risk. Notably, topics covered include limitations about driver awareness, the role of human error, the role of the environment on driver perception, and driver responsibilities. Key risk management strategies include managing space in between vehicles to afford more reaction time and limiting engagement in distractions during the driving task.
