Abstract
This document contains the technical assistance report by ANSTSE for the State of Missouri. A two-day meeting (June 1-2, 2016) was scheduled and the Missouri State agencies and organizations involved in highway safety, driver licensing, teacher preparation and legislation were invited to participate. Nina Saint from the Driver Education and Training Administrators (DETA)/The Foundation for Safe Driving and Andrew Krajewski from Highway Safety Services facilitated the technical assistance sessions. This report describes the findings of that visit. Major findings included: formalizing the Driver Education Coalition and encouraging the Coalition to take the lead on a number of statewide strategies to enhance driver education in the state such as partnering with schools.
