Abstract
This document contains a model instructor guide for driver education instructor training for the trainer of the program to utilize and includes instructor notes, lesson plans, slides, activities, quizzes and answer keys. There are three parts of the curriculum: 1) Fundamental Concepts of Teaching and Learning, 2) Classroom Teaching and Learning Theories and 3) Behind-the-Wheel Teaching and Learning Theories. It was developed by the Teacher Training Working Group (TTWG) and Highway Safety Services, LLC on behalf of the Association of National Stakeholders in Traffic Safety Education (ANSTSE). This curriculum supports the NTDETAS “Development of a Teacher Training System Project”.
