Abstract
This document contains a model student workbook for driver education instructor candidates to utilize during the instructor training process and includes workbook content, activities and summary sheets. There are three parts of the curriculum: 1) Fundamental Concepts of Teaching and Learning, 2) Classroom Teaching and Learning Theories and 3) Behind-the-Wheel Teaching and Learning Theories. It was developed by the Teacher Training Working Group (TTWG) and Highway Safety Services, LLC on behalf of the Association of National Stakeholders in Traffic Safety Education (ANSTSE). This curriculum supports the NTDETAS “Development of a Teacher Training System Project.”
