Abstract
This document contains the results of a 10-year analysis of fatal crash data (2005–2014) involving teen drivers 15 to 20 years of age from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) to identify crash trends. The analysis revealed teen driver involvement in fatal crashes declined 48% from 2005 to 2014. The survey results suggest these declines were due to graduated driving licensing (GDL) programs. The report recommends the further expansion of these programs based on this data.
