Abstract
This factsheet summarizes how existing regulatory tools will be used to promote the safe development and deployment of automated vehicles. It discusses letters of interpretation to explain how existing law applies to specific motor vehicle equipment, exemptions from existing Standards, and contains information for enforcement authorities.
