Abstract
This document contains an in-depth analysis on the prosecution of distracted driving cases to assist prosecutors and law enforcement. Specifically, it was meant to assist state and local attorneys, members of the judiciary, and law enforcement to prosecute distracted driving cases involving fatalities serious injuries. It provides an overview of the distracted driving problem, outlines key actions for law enforcement to take such as proper evidence collection, and gives advice on how to prove distracted driving cases in court.
