Abstract
This factsheet contains an overview of motor vehicle fatality data in the United States for 2017. The data was gathered as part of the annual FARS data collection. The data revealed in 2017 there were 673 fewer fatalities. Specific declines were observed in passenger car occupants, van occupants, pickup truck occupants, motorcyclists, pedestrians, pedal cyclists, alcohol-impaired-driving fatalities, and speeding-related fatalities.
